Environmental and Community Commitment
As the world leader in lodging hospitality, we at Hilton San Francisco recognize our responsibility to corporate citizenship wherever we do business. Since our company was founded more than 80 years ago by Conrad Hilton, and through the stewardship of his son, Barron Hilton, we have demonstrated our commitment in this area through active support of a wide variety of causes and organizations.
The Hilton San Francisco serves numerous non-profit service agencies in the community through team member volunteer activities and donations of goods and services. Several years ago, the hotel institutionalized its community service by creating management position to oversee its activities - a first in the hospitality industry. The Community Projects Manager assists clients who want their meeting to reflect their corporate social responsibility with off-site or on-site volunteer opportunities or through the donation of leftover or excess conference supplies. In addition, there may be opportunities to strengthen existing relationships between national service organizations that the hotel and meeting organizations have in common.
