Credit Billing and Info

The credit and billing department of the Hilton San Francisco prides itself on knowing precisely how much of the devil is in the details.  Having handled groups of every size and complexity, the department knows how to anticipate your needs and how best to assist you with your billing goals. We're confident you'll find the only surprise this aspect of your meeting has in store for you is the ease in which all matters are handled.

CREDIT POLICY
Unless you have established credit in advance with us, you will pay the entire contract price in cash or by certified check at least three business days prior to your function or by personal bank check two weeks prior to your function.  If you have established credit, payment in full will be due within thirty (30) days of your function.  If you prefer, all charges can be paid by credit card. Hilton San Francisco accepts American Express, MasterCard ,Visa, Diners Club, Discover Card, JCB International.  If credit has not been approved for your function, you will provide us with the credit card to which all estimated master account charges will be charged no later than seven (7) days in advance.  If credit has been approved, you will provide us with your credit card information at the time of your function.

CASH PAID OUT
The Hilton San Francisco can provide cash to groups if our bank has received the money in advance.  Groups should make allowances for their check to clear as some checks may take up to three to four weeks.  Prior arrangements must be made through the Catering/Event Manager if the group wants to pick up cash on the weekend, holiday or evening hours. Please make sure to list specific denominations needed for cash in advance to ensure hotel has specific counts on hand.

CHECK CASHING PRIVILEGES
Hotel guests may cash checks at the Front Office up to $200 per day with a photo ID and valid credit card.  The check must be imprinted with the guest’s name and address and made out to Hilton San Francisco.

CREDIT CARD ACCEPTED
The Hilton San Francisco accepts most major credit cards including Master Card, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, JCB International.

SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES
A limited number of guest rooms and suites have an electronic safe.  The combination safes can be set and re-set at any time. 

Safe deposit boxes are located at the front desk and are free of charge.

TAXES
The current California State General Sales Tax is 9.5%. The current City and County Hotel Occupancy Tax is 15.58%.

All goods and services are subject to state sales tax including but not limited to food, beverage, labor, and gratuities.

WIRE TRANSFER INFORMATION
If you would like to pay via electronic funds transfer,  please notify your Catering/Event Manager, and instructions will be faxed to you.

BILLING
Should you require a master account for billing purposes, please complete and return our credit application.  Upon approval, master accounts will be assigned per your instructions.  Please be sure to advise your Catering/Event Manager in advance for any specific instructions on how you would like your bill organized.  We recommend on-site daily review with the Group Billing Coordinator.

CASH PAYING GUESTS
In the event a hotel guest does not have a major credit card to secure his/her room, the Hilton San Francisco will require full payment in advance for room and tax charges.  In addition, there will be a $75 per day refundable deposit for incidental charges.  If the guest does not wish to establish credit for incidental charges, the guest room phone will be restricted to room-to-room calls.  All room folio charges from the Food and Beverage outlets and movie charges will also be restricted.

DEPOSITS
Cash Deposit requirements, if any, are outlined in your sales contract.  Cash deposits may be made available any time throughout your stay and posted to your master account.
Full pre-payment of room and tax is required for guests not wishing to utilize a credit card upon check-in.

MASTER ACCOUNTS
Based upon prior credit approval, large group events will have a formal master account prepared by the Hilton San Francisco Finance Department.  The master account is broken down into three major sections: Guest Rooms, Food and Beverage and Miscellaneous Charges. All charges come with supporting documentation and organized for easy understanding.

There are two ATM’s conveniently located in the hotel. One on the lobby level; one across from the Tower tours desk and one on the valet parking area on the garage level of Tower Three. There are also ATM locations in San Francisco at all major bank locations
